Suedecloth

Back to fabric types

Suedecloth is a 100% polyester fabric, it is a wicking fabric.

Suedecloth is a fantastic fabric to use on the inside layer of your nappy.

As it is 100% polyester it is a wicking fabric, meaning that when baby wee's the wee goes through the layer (wicks) into the absorbent layer beneath.

Suedecloth is highly resistant to staining, is very hard wearing, yet a soft fabric.  It has minimal stretch (one way) so is an easy to sew fabric as it will not go out of shape whilst sewing and stretching as some fabrics can.

The pile is very very short, making it a wonderful fabric for trim nappies.

Uses - can be used as the inner layer in nappies, covers, fitted nappies and is great when used on a change mat as the top layer.
