I love Bamboo. Wish I had known more about it when I first got into cloth nappies.
It is THE best fabric in the world.
-Doesn't need pesticide to maintain the crops
-Grows quickly and organically
-Is the MOST absorbent and environmentally friendly fabric on the market!

This fabric is great at sucking up liquid! It's also nice and soft and easy to work with. So far it has washed very well too.

Soft, absorbent, easy to sew.
Lovely for boosters and inserts :-) I make boosters and inserts that fold out which makes drying time reasonable, although never as fast as microfibre.

Trim compared to the microfibre but not stiff like the hemp, this is my favourite insert fabric.
It does take a while to dry though (which can be an issue in winter in Tasmania), so i always have lots of microfibre inserts as well. The microfibre dries much quicker.

This is a nice thick fleece for a decent price - I make my boosters up as ~30 x 40cm trifolds - one layer of fleece and one of microfibre with the fleece inwards so you dont waste it in the wash or dryer. Then it dries faster but can be folded to make a 6 layer smaller or bigger booster. These are our favourite boosters.
I haven't bought velour from here yet but bamboo velour is luscious - soft against the bum and good for clothes and wipes too!

I really love bamboo. It holds a lot of liquid and is perfect for the absorbent part of nappies. It takes longer to dry than hemp, but with our hot summers, you barely notice.
I find that I don't need to add any boosters when I use my bamboo, but with hemp I will always add microfibre pads.
Bamboo is a great compliment to hemp if you make some booster pads from it. You could just do some double layer booster pads 10x30cm.
Try it, you'll love it !!!
